The Vikings announced the signing of tight end Allen Reisner on Tuesday and were awarded linebacker Terrell Manning off waivers from the San Diego Chargers.
Manning was waived by the Chargers on Monday after they re-signed him following the 2013 season. He was also waived by the Chargers in September.
Manning was originally a 2012 fifth-round draft pick of the Green Bay Packers and suffered a concussion in his first game of his rookie season and was inactive the next five weeks. He suffered a shoulder injury in November 2012 and missed most of the rest of the season. The Packers released him in August 2013 and the Chargers claimed him.
Manning has appeared in two games in his two NFL seasons.
Reisner spent the 2011 and 2012 seasons with the Vikings after they signed him as an undrafted rookie following the 2011 draft. He played in 10 games over two seasons with the Vikings, catching one pass.
Reisner was claimed off waivers by the Jacksonville Jaguars in December 2012 from the Vikings. The Lions and Buccaneers also placed waiver claims on him at that time.
Last year, Reisner played five games for the Jaguars, starting three and catching five passes for 40 yards.
