The Vikings added their linebacker options Monday with the signing of Brian Peters, former of Northwestern and the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Peters played the last two seasons with the Roughriders of the CFL. In 2014, led the team in tackles with 78 and had three sackes, two interceptions and one forced fumble. In 2013, he was used mainly on special teams.
In 2012, he played for the Iowa Barnstormers in the Arena Football League. At Northwestern prior to that, he started 34 of 52 games and ranks third in Wildcats history with 12 career interceptions.
He is listed at 6-foot-3 and only 218 pounds.
