Free agent tight end Emmanuel Ogbuehi is scheduled to visit with the Minnesota Vikings on Wednesday, according to the National Football Post, citing Ogbuehi’s agent.
The 6-foot-2, 230-pound tight end attended Georgia State and joined the Washington Redskins as an undrafted free agent. In his two years in the NFL he also spent time with the Miami Dolphins, Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens.
Ogbuehi has not recorded any NFL statistics as a majority of his NFL career has been spent on the practice squad.
The Vikings currently have five tight ends on their roster after signing Brandon Bostick earlier this offseason, but it is possible they believe Ogbuehi offers something the others don’t.
It is unclear what their intentions with Ogbuehi are, but the tight end is drawing interest from other teams, as well, and will be visiting Tampa Bay on Thursday.
