Favre pays visit to Winter Park

Brett Favre returned to Minnesota on Friday, but it was nothing more than a friendly visit.

With friends on staff and even a few old teammates left with the Minnesota Vikings, former quarterback Brett Favre paid a “friendly visit” to Winter Park on Friday, according to one source.

But even those who had never played with Favre enjoyed the visit, some of the younger players clearly in awe of him.

“Saw Brett Favre today and was too nervous to ask for a picture with him. So instead I thought about following him on the road. Am I crazy?” receiver Donte Foster tweeted.

Receiver Charles Johnson, whose career started with the Green Bay Packers in 2013, six years after Favre’s last days with the Packers, was equally excited about meeting the NFL legend.

“Man I just got to meet Brett Farve!! The legend. I started sweating and everything! One of the all time greats!! #Vikings #whatafeeling,” Johnson tweeted.

Favre can still draw the attention of players and media alike, but Friday’s visit was nothing more than that – a time for him to reconnect with former teammates and staff members he was close to during his two years in Minnesota.
