WR Charles Johnson questionable, WR Mike Wallace probable

The Minnesota Vikings are getting close to having their full receiver corps available.

The Minnesota Vikings receiver corps appears to be close to full strength, even if not every member of that group is at 100 percent.

Starting receiver Charles Johnso missed the Vikings’ Week 4 game against the Denver Broncos on Oct. 4 with a rib injury and he is working through that issue, listed as questionable on Friday’s final injury report.

“As far as I know, I’m playing,” Johnson said after Friday’s practice. “That’s how I’m preparing, like I’m playing, but we’ll see game time.”

Johnson said the trainers and medical staff are “getting me right,” but if he does play he’s likely to wear protective padding over the ribs. Since the Vikings don’t hit in practice, he hasn’t taken much contact on the ribs in the past couple week, other than a massage.

“I got a massage on them this morning. She was pressing pretty hard on them,” he said.

Johnson was limited in practice all week.

Receiver Mike Wallace said on Wednesday there was “zero doubt” in his mind he would play Sunday after he took a helmet to his knee in the Denver game and he is listed as probable, meaning he is a “virtual certainty” to play.

While Wallace, Johnson and Jarius Wright (hand, probable) – the top three receivers – could play, backups Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs could see extended action either way after their breakout games against Denver. Thielen had six catches for 70 yards and Diggs had six catches for a team-high 87 yards in his first NFL action.

“I think all of them are pretty good and they all - not all of them have different skillsets, but some guys are better at some things than others,” head coach Mike Zimmer said. “But yeah, I think it's a good group.”

Safety Andrew Sendejo had a brace on his left knee, listed as questionable after being limited all week, and Antone Exum Jr. is likely to get his first start at strong safety.

Backup defensive end Justin Trattou still has a walking boot on his left foot and was ruled out.

Cornerback Jabari Price (shoulder) and tight end Rhett Ellison (knee) are probable.

The Chiefs listed nose tackle Donatari Poe (ankle) and LB Josh Mauga (groin/Achilles) as out. LB Tamba Hali (knee) is questionable.
