Minnesota Vikings injury report: Peterson held out with multiple injuries

The Minnesota Vikings were giving Adrian Peterson a break on Wednesday with multiple injuries

After Adrian Peterson was largely shut down against the Detroit Lions, besides a 75-yard run, the Minnesota Vikings shut down Adrian Peterson on Wednesday.

Peterson is expected to play on Sunday, but he wasn’t practicing Wednesday and listed on the injury report with hip, finger and ankle injuries. He stretched on Wednesday before getting the day off.

In addition to Peterson, receiver Jarius Wright didn’t practice Wednesday as he continues to go through the concussion protocol, but Wright was running, indicating he has advanced to the exercise stage of the protocol.

Defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd, who had a piece of cartilage removed from his knee last week, also wasn’t practicing. It’s unlikely he plays this week.

Additionally, linebacker Audie Cole (finger) and defensive end Justin Trattou (foot) didn’t practice.

The Chicago Bears had two players that didn’t practice: LB Shea McClellin (knee) and DL Bruce Gaston.
