Tom Dahlin/Viking Update

Teddy Bridgewater active for Minnesota Vikings; Eric Kendricks inactive

Teddy Bridgewater is active and starting for the Minnesota Vikings after clearing his concussion protocol, but starting MLB Eric Kendricks is inactive with a rib injury.

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater is active and will start after spending last week in the NFL’s concussion protocol, and the Vikings are also getting DT Sharrif Floyd back in the lineup.

However, it wasn’t all good injury news for the Vikings. Starting middle linebacker Eric Kendricks will miss his second straight game with a rib injury. Veteran Chad Greenway will make his first start at middle linebacker after playing there at the end of last week’s game when backup Audie Cole was lost for the season with a fractured ankle.

With Greenway sliding into the middle, Brandon Watts will make his first NFL start at Greenway’s weakside spot.

Strongside linebacker Anthony Barr, who was questionable with a hand injury, is active and will start on the strong side.

In addition to Kendricks, CB Josh Robinson (who was activated Wednesday to the 53-man roster from the physically unable to perform list), QB Taylor Heinicke, C Nick Easton, DT Kenrick Ellis, T Jeremiah Sirles and DE Justin Trattou are all inactive.

For the Raiders, starting center Rodney Hudson is inactive, along with CB Dexter McDonald, RB Roy Helu Jr., LB Neiron Ball, OL Matt McCants, WR Rod Streater, TE Gabe Holmes.
