Despite the Green Bay Packers entering the game short on receivers with Jared Abbrederis and Ty Montgomery inactive with injuries, the Minnesota Vikings ended up spending plenty of time in their nickel defense.
Nickel cornerback Captain Munnerlyn tied his season high with 66 snaps. He had played 66 snaps against the San Diego Chargers in Week 3 and 65 against the Detroit Lions in Week 2, but Munnerlyn had been under 50 snaps a game ever since that San Diego game.
With Eric Kendricks back in the lineup after missing the last two weeks with a rib injury and with the increased nickel defense on Sunday, Chad Greenway played in only 22 snaps and that included one series in relief of Kendricks in the nickel defense.
On offense, rookie Stefon Diggs was the most-used receiver, playing in 55 of 64 snaps, with Mike Wallace getting 52 snaps and Jarius Wright 33. Former starter Charles Johnson was limited to nine snaps.
