As Adrian Peterson continues to climb the NFL’s all-time rushing charts, he’s doing so in style.
The Minnesota Vikings running back was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Month for November.
Peterson rushed for an NFL-leading 634 rushing yards on 117 carries and five touchdowns during the month. His 634 yards rushing in November are the most he has had in a single month since December 2012, when he rushed for a franchise-high 861 yards. The six-time Pro Bowler also set a team record for the most November rushing yards in 2015.
The award marks the second time that Peterson has been named NFC Offensive Player of the Month, his first honor coming in December 2012, which culminated in Peterson being named the league’s Most Valuable Player. He is the first Viking to win Player of the Month since DE Everson Griffen won the defensive award in October of last season.
Peterson moved up from 21st on the all-time rushing charts to 18th with 158 yards against the Atlanta Falcons last Sunday. He now has 11,354 yards in his career and leads the NFL in 2015 with 1,164 rushing yards.
