Minnesota Vikings sign RFA fullback Zach Line

Fullback Zach Line signed his one-year restricted free agent tender.

As the Minnesota Vikings kicked off their offseason conditioning program on Monday – the start of the offseason workouts – they announced the re-signing of fullback Zach Line.

Line signed his restricted free agent tender of $1.67 million, the team announced Monday, giving Adrian Peterson and the running backs their lead blocker in the backfield for 2016. Peterson led the NFL with 1,485 yards rushing in 2015.

Line has appeared in 20 career games with six starts in the first three years of his NFL career, including five starts in 2015. Last year, he scored the first three touchdowns of his career – two rushing and one receiving – despite finishing with only six carries for 10 yards and seven catches for 103 yards.
