Bradford was taking second-team reps behind Shaun Hill during the portion of practice open to the media on Monday.
The Vikings traded away a first-round pick in the 2017 draft and a conditional fourth-round pick in the 2018 draft in order to acquire Bradford from the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday. The move came four days after Minnesota’s starting quarterback, Teddy Bridgewater, suffered a torn ACL, a dislocated knee and other structural damage.
Bridgewater observed parts of Monday’s practice, but he is out for the 2016 season and perhaps beyond.
The big question for the Vikings now is this: Will Bradford be ready to start the Vikings’ regular-season opener on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans?
- WR Charles Johnson was among the players that weren’t practicing on Monday, joined by C Nick Easton, T Jeremiah Sirles and TE MyCole Pruitt.
- LT Matt Kalil, RB Jerick McKinnon and CB Xavier Rhodes returned to practice on Monday after not dressing for Thursday’s preseason finale and not practicing last week.
