Minnesota Vikings WR Charles Johnson returns, feeling ‘good’

The Minnesota Vikings had a few players return to practice on Wednesday as the regular-season opener approaches.

Wide receiver Charles Johnson returned to practice Wednesday and says he is “good” and ready to play for the Minnesota Vikings in their regular-season opener Sunday at the Tennessee Titans.

“I’m out here practicing so I don’t why I’d be doubting to play,” he said.

Johnson didn’t dress for the preseason finale with a quadriceps injury and wasn’t practicing on Monday, but he returned on a limited basis Wednesday.

Also practicing on a limited basis were CB Xavier Rhodes (hamstring), RB Jerick McKinnon (foot) and TE Rhett Ellison (knee).

The only Vikings that didn’t practice Wednesday were C Nick Easton (ankle) and TE MyCole Pruitt (knee).
