Treadwell actually got his first NFL start due to the personnel the Minnesota Vikings used to start the game and he ended up doubling his previous high for number of snaps, which also came against the Detroit Lions. Eighteen days earlier, the first-round pick played in 17 snaps. On Thursday, he played in 34 snaps, but he wasn’t targeted once in the passing game. His 34 snaps were almost as many as he had seen in the previous 10 games combined. To date, he has played in 69 offensive snaps, or just under 10 percent of the totals snaps.
The Vikings also had some in-game injuries affect who was playing. Rookie OL Willie Beavers saw his first NFL action, as he got eight snaps filling in for the injured Jeremiah Sirles at right tackle, and Nick Easton played in a career-high 43 snaps filling in for a concussed Joe Berger, more than doubling the previous number of snaps Easton had gotten this season.
Without Terence Newman on defense, Trae Waynes played all 61 snaps, joining safeties Andrew Sendejo and Harrison Smith and linebacker Anthony Barr as full-time players. With Eric Kendricks coming back from injury, the Vikings limited his snaps to 32 on defense while Audie Cole played 10 snaps as a base-defense middle linebacker and Chad Greenway played 29 snaps.
