Sutton spent the first three years of his career with the Chicago Bears after they selected him in the third round of the 2014 NFL Draft. The Bears released Sutton last week.
Sutton suffered an ankle injury last year that landed him on injured reserve on Nov. 15. He also dealt with an elbow injury earlier in the season, as well as in 2015.
In his three years with the Bears, Sutton has started 18 games, totaling 60 tackles and seven passes defensed.
Johnson was active for two games last year for the Vikings, registering two tackles.
