Following Saturday's walk-through practice, Daunte Culpepper looked at offensive coordinator Scott Linehan and said, "I can do this" -- referring to playing in today's game with the 49ers.
For a second straight day, coach Mike Tice refused to state publicly who his starting quarterback will be. Some see this as coaching gamesmanship. Others see it as a coach agonizing over a decision.
Within the next few hours, we will find out who the starter is. Many of us at VU are leaning toward Culpepper because Tice has waited so long to say he WON'T be starting.
With a perfect record and a chance to get a stranglehold on the NFC North with a victory, the Vikings need to have their best QB out there on the field. Now the question becomes is that QB Gus Frerotte at 100 percent or Culpepper at 80 percent?
