Mixon, Kevin Williams Charged With DWIs

The Vikings are in the midst of another round of legal trouble and bad publicity. This time, two Vikings have been arrested on DWI charges in less than a week.

The Hennepin County Sherrif's Department has confirmed that Vikings defensive end Kenny Mixon was booked this morning after being arrested last night for DWI.

Mixon was the second Viking arrested in less than a week for DWI. Rookie defensive lineman Kevin Williams was arrested late last week and informed the team yesterday of the incident.

Mixon, who has started every game for the Vikings since being signed as a free agent in 2002, was found not guilty in April of third-degree drunk driving and refusing to take a sobriety test. That case originated when Mixon was pulled over by Golden Valley police on Jan. 3 at 3:10 a.m.

If Mixon is convicted this time, there is a chance he could be suspended by the league. Mixon's defense argued last winter that police lacked evidence to subject him to a sobriety test.

VU will have more details as they come forward.
