Bennett Practices, To Start

Vikings RB Michael Bennett returned to practice Friday and is on track to start tomorrow at Arizona.

For the past month, the Vikings have struggled with depth problems at running back. Michael Bennett sustained an ankle injury vs. the Seahawks. In that same game, Moe Williams was slowed with a knee injury. The following week vs. Chicago, Onterrio Smith tweaked a hamstring.

But those problems would appear to be behind all of the them, as all three practiced Friday and are good to go for Sunday's critical game at Arizona.

As expected, Bennett will start, Smith is expected to get 10-15 carries and Williams will be the short-yardage/third-down back. After a month of waiting, as the Vikings make their final drive for the playoffs, it would appear all the pieces are finally back in place.

* The Vikings can't take the Cardinals too lightly. Four of their six losses this year are against teams with losing records and three of those vs. teams with 10 or more losses.
* The only key Viking expected to sit out is LB Chris Claiborne. Mike Tice credits a strong workout program for the health of his team.
* Several Vikings players have been hit with symptoms of the flu and QB Gus Frerotte was sent home from practice Friday.
* The Vikes have scouts watching the Eagles, Cowboys and Panthers this weekend for potential playoff information.
