Unlike the Pro Bowl, where each conference names a full squad of players, the NFL's All-Pro team is the most prestigious honor given out to NFL players. Randy Moss had his name announced Sunday.
Moss was the only Viking named to the first team, joining the Rams' Torry Holt as the wide receivers.
Matt Birk was the second-team center behind the Broncos' Tom Nalen, and Corey Chavous finished sixth among safeties.
Moss was named on 34 of 50 votes cast, which begs the question with the type of season he had, how could 16 voters leave him off their ballot of two wide receivers?
* The Vikings have contacted former Bills coach Gregg Williams about their vacant defensive coordinator position. No face to face meeting has yet been scheduled.
* Former Jets DC Ted Cottrell is expected to meet with Mike Tice later this week.
* Denny Green's days as a media member may be dwindling. Green has already done preliminary interviews with the Redskins, Cardinals and Raiders.
