The bee's nest that has surrounded the Vikings since their season ended has taken on a new twist.
Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor, who had never shown an interest in paying Red McCombs what Red thought the Vikings were worth is making an 11th hour appeal. It's based on one premise -- Fowler can't deliver.
VU has been told a couple of times in recent days that Fowler doesn't have the financial backing for a buyout -- at which point he will step in. The question now becomes where was Taylor six months ago? Or a year ago?
Stay tuned. It just keeps getting better.
