Add Mel Kiper and Cedric Benson to the list of odd couples.
Kiper, the well-coifed (at least in 1975) ESPN analyst, has come out saying that on his personal draft board, wide receiver Mike Williams has surpassed Braylon Edwards. Another noted prognosticator has RB Cedric Benson free-falling all the way to pick No. 14.
Why? The spin machine is alive and well and taking over draft discussion. This happens every year, so don't get too involved in it. If things play out as they should, the Vikings will have their choice of Williams or Benson and can pick one. That shouldn't be too difficult.
