K-Will Out, Mosley In

The Vikings are going to be without Kevin Williams for at least two weeks and a lot of pressure is going to fall on rookie C.J. Mosley to fill the void.

When you're a sixth-round draft pick taken at a position that already has two players that have been selected to Pro Bowls, there isn't too much in the way of expectations that get in the way. That is, unless you're C.J. Mosley.

Mosley, who was almost an afterthought when the Vikings used a sixth-round pick on him in April's draft, has become the latest player on the spot for the Vikings -- being forced to fill in for injured Kevin Williams.

Williams went down on the first series of Sunday's win over the Browns with what has been diagnosed as a second-degree sprain of his right MCL. Coach Mike Tice kidded that his MCL sprain was worse, but the reality is that Williams will be lost for two to four weeks as a result of the injury and Mosley will be asked to fill in his place.

On Sunday, Mosley did more than just fill a spot. He finished the game with seven tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble.

* The Vikings hope to have defensive linemanSpencer Johnson, who has missed six of the last seven games, back in the lineup as a reserve.
* Tice said that both guard Anthony Herrera and tackle Marcus Johnson will start Sunday. Herrera, barring injury or poor play, has been handed the starting job for the rest of the season.
* Fred Smoot might be available for Sunday's game, but will likely be used as a nickel back initially until he gets back into game shape.
