Wide receiver Koren Robinson and free safety Darren Sharper have been selected to the Pro Bowl. Robinson, who leads the NFC with a 26.6-yard average on kick returns, was selected as a return specialist.
Sharper is tied for the NFC lead with eight interceptions and will be making his third Pro Bowl appearance, his first with the Vikings. He was also selected as a member of the Green Bay Packers in 2000 and 2002. Sharper leads the NFL with 265 interception return yards.
This will be Robinson's first trip. He needs 202 yards in kickoff returns to break Buster Rhymes' team record of 1,345 from 1985.
The Pro Bowl will be played in Honolulu on February 12.
Robinson and Sharper move the number of players named to the Pro Bowl under head coach Mike Tice to seven players earning 10 honors. Tice said thought nose tackle Pat Williams and cornerback Antoine Winfield were also worthy of Pro Bowl consideration, along with left tackle Bryant McKinnie.
