Young Visits Monday

The Vikings' pre-draft saga continued Monday with the arrival of Vince Young to Winter Park.

The Vikings announced last week that their coaching staff would have this week off in preparation for the NFL draft in a week-and-a-half, but followed that up with claiming that the team would still be hosting players at Winter Park.

Exactly which coaches and team personnel were in attendance Monday was unknown, but the Vikings played host to quarterback Vince Young Monday. The visit didn't fuel any speculation that the Vikings are willing to move up to grab Young, who some believe may be off the board as early as the third pick in the draft, while others say he could last to the Raiders at No. 7 or beyond.

The team had no comment on how the discussion went with Young or if head coach Brad Childress was even in attendance. Young has visits scheduled with several teams between now and draft weekend.

* The Vikings released TE T.J. Cottrell Monday. Cottrell is the son of former Vikings defensive coordinator Ted Cottrell.
* Moe Williams' trial for his alleged role in the sex boat scandal is set to begin today.
