At minicamp, Daunte Culpepper proclaimed himself 100 percent in recovering from knee surgery. He'll prove that July 6 when he gets married and walks the aisle with his longtime girlfriend.
Culpepper, who met his bride-to-be Kimberly Rah when he was in high school, will get married in Orlando. Several Vikings teammates are expected to attend.
The couple has four children together, including a five-month old.
* Another precinct has been heard from. In its preseason coverage of the NFL, The Sporting News picks the Vikings to finish third in the NFC North with a 6-10 record. However, the Vikings aren't taking the gloom and doom too seriously, since the magazine last year picked the Bears and Patriots each to finish last in their divisions and listed Dennis Green as the best coach in the NFC.
* The Sporting News based its rankings in part on unit rankings, taking each position against other teams in the NFL. According to its unit rankings, only the Ravens and expansion Texans are worse than the Vikings, who ranked 30th on the defensive line, 31st at running back and linebacker and dead last in the secondary.
