UDFA Analysis: WR Jason Carter

Right now, he's the man on the Vikings best known because he's wearing Daunte Culpepper's old jersey number, 11, but find out what TFY Draft Preview had to say about Jason Carter's strengths and weaknesses before he was signed as an undrafted rookie by the Vikings.

Full Name: Jason Carter School: Texas A&M Pos: WR

Ht: 5-11.5 Wt: 211 40: 4.65 Year: 5Sr

Bio: Full-time starter as a senior when he posted career numbers of 54/827/6. Junior totals included 36/468 as a receiver.

Pos: Athletic receiver who improved his game as a senior. Solid route-runner who quickly exits breaks, then positions himself to make the reception. Elusive handling the ball, quick-footed and makes defenders miss in the open field. Keeps the play in bounds running after the reception.

Neg: Lacks strong hands and drops some catchable throws. More productive running after the reception as opposed to beating defenders in a foot race.

Analysis: Rough around the edges, Carter has a ways to go before completing his game. A potential slot receiver in the NFL who will be asked to handle return duties.
