UDFA Analysis: DE Khreem Smith

Thursday's signing of defensive end Khreem Smith is an interesting one. The pass-rushing specialist has been out of school for two years and played in the Arena League this spring, but he doesn't have any NFL experience. Find out what TFY Draft Preview thought of Smith coming out of Oklahoma State.

Name: Khreem Smith School: Oklahoma State Year: 4Sr

Ht: 6-3 Wt: 250 40: 4.82 Pos: DE

Bio: Garden City CC transfer that started his last two seasons at OSU. Posted 37/10/3 as a senior when he also intercepted a pass after 24/4/1 the prior year.

Pos: Undersized speed rushing end who may be best standing over tackle at the next level. Good athlete that plays with leverage, quickness and adequate speed. Fluid changing direction and immediately alters his angle of attack in pursuit of the ball handler.

Neg: Not an instinctive defender or one that displays great wherewithal on the field. Looks and tests better than he actually plays.

Analysis: An underachiever of sorts, Smith displays the ability to be a disruptive force in the backfield or the skills to make plays sideline-to-sideline. May be best at an outside linebacker position.
