The Vikings training camp has taken a toll on the team with the loss of three players eventually projected starters -- Chad Greenway, Koren Robinson and Tank Williams. Saturday night there were fears that the team had lost another defensive player -- safety Willie Offord.
Offord, who injured his right wrist on the game's opening kickoff, was feared to have a broken wrist due to the amount of pain he was in following the injury and the swelling that accompanied his pain. Instead, after X-rays Sunday, it was revealed to be a severe sprain, but not a fracture.
Offord is expected to miss Friday's game with the Ravens, but shouldn't be sidelined at practice for long, which is good news for Vikings fans that feared the team would be depleted at an already thin safety position.
* The Vikings report to their new locker room digs at Winter Park for the first time today. After finishing training camp Thursday in Mankato, the team had an off day Sunday after returning from Pittsburgh and now start the process of holding practices at Winter Park.
* The Vikings won't face RB Jamal Lewis when the team plays the Ravens Friday. He's been sidelined with a hip flexor injury.
Offord Injury Not Too Serious
