The week began with promise and hope that the Vikings would get Bryant McKinnie into camp at some point this week. Some progress had been made in negotiations, and the Vikings expected a signing at anytime.
Then the expected occured.
A league source has informed The Insiders this afternoon that talks between offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie and the Minnesota Vikings have hit a wall.
Representatives for McKinnie believe that the Vikings have not come close to offering a deal that would get the mammouth lineman into camp.
"They (the Vikings)have not come up with an offer that is even close to what Bryant should receive," the source said. "Bryant wants to be in camp and the Vikings have been told that. Until he receives an offer that is workable, he will sit out and the agent and team will continue to exchange numbers and thoughts."
