Culpepper Expected To Be Benched

The Dolphins are expected to start Joey Harrington in place of Daunte Culpepper Sunday. has learned QB Joey Harrington is expected to make his first start for the Miami Dolphins on Sunday in place of starter Daunte Culpepper, who is suffering from a bruised shoulder. Culpepper will likely be active on Sunday as the No. 2 quarterback.

Harrington was acquired from the Detroit Lions for a 2007 conditional sixth-round pick. The pick could be as a high as a fifth-round pick if Harrington meets certain playing time parameters.

In four games in which the Dolphins went 1-3, Culpepper has completed 81 of 134 passes for 929 yards, but has only two touchdowns, three interceptions and has taken 21 sacks. He has a 77.0 passer rating.
