Wide receiver Bethel Johnson is still a possibility for the Vikings to re-sign, he said, but it doesn't appear the team is making a strong bid for him.
"They made an offer," Johnson said. "They're still in the running. I wasn't asking for a lot of money, so they know where I stand."
Johnson said he has been receiving interest from other teams, but he declined to name which ones and said he wasn't aware of any visits set up less than 12 hours into free agency.
Johnson came to the Vikings at the start of the 2006 season and played in 11 games, starting two.
He finished the year with nine catches for 156 yards, but his biggest impact was as a kick returner. He was the team's leading returner, bringing back 45 kickoffs for 1,054 yards, a 23.4-yard average.
Johnson is known as a player with lots of speed and talent, but he's been unable to parlay that into a productive offensive role after four years in the league.
