K Rhys Lloyd, a free agent, was voted the NFL Europa Offensive Player of the week. Lloyd, a British kicker who starred at the University of Minnesota, was named Special Teams Player of the Week after converting a league record-tying 56-yard field goal for the Galaxy in its win. The kick -- worth four points under NFL Europa rules -- tied the mark set by Rhein Fire kicker Danny Kight during a game against the Barcelona Dragons on May 6, 2000. Lloyd added two conversions to end the game with six points.

LB Shelton Quarles (failed physical) had his contract terminated by Tampa Bay.
WR/KR Dante' Hall was traded by Kansas City to St. Louis in exchange for the 82nd and 148th overall picks in the 2007 draft. The Rams also received the 84th overall pick.
"We have filled a need with one of the top players in football at his specialty, returning punts and kicks," Rams coach Scott Linehan said. "Dante will fit nicely on our special teams and can be utilized as a receiver in certain situations."

RB Anthony Sherrell was voted the NFL Europa Offensive Player of the week. Sherrell, who is the NFL Europa leader in scrimmage yards this season with 229, amassed 102 multi-purpose yards in Frankfurt's 18-13 win over the Cologne Centurions. He rushed for 57 yards on 14 carries and caught six passes for 45 yards. An Eastern Michigan product, Sherrell currently ranks second in the league in rushing yards (167), trailing only Kansas City-allocated running back Derrick Ross (168) of Cologne.
CB Gabe Franklin, allocated by the Chargers, was voted the NFL Europa Defensive Player of the week. Franklin recorded nine tackles, one sack, one quarterback pressure and forced a fumble for Cologne. He also registered two interceptions and four passes defensed.
DE Ben Ishola was named National Player of the Week for NFL Europa. He recorded four tackles, one sack for 10 yards, one quarterback hurry and two special teams tackles in the Hamburg Sea Devils' 16-7 victory over the Berlin Thunder.
