Will He Stay or Go?

We have an update on the negotiations for a player who was traded to an AFC East team earlier this year.

Despite reports to the contrary, a league source told Scout.com Wednesday morning that the Buffalo Bills have made a new contract offer to DT Darwin Walker who they acquired via trade back in March.

Walker wants a new deal and his rights would revert back to the Philadelphia Eagles should he not report to the Bills by August 5. The Eagles would send a sixth-round pick in next year's draft to Buffalo should he not show up by the designated date. Walker has two years left on his contract with base salaries of $1.3 million (2007) and $1.4 million (2008). Buffalo starts training camp on Thursday.

Philadelphia made the decision earlier this year that second-year DT Brodrick Bunkley would move into the starting lineup so if Walker is returned to the Eagles, he would be traded or cut.
