Daunte Culpepper may have found a landing spot after all.
Two weeks after being released by the Dolphins, Culpepper has been brought in for a workout with the Raiders. Culpepper, who continues to represent himself, is being viewed as a potential stop-gap while JaMarcus Russell develops. He's also being seen as potential leverage in the event Russell has a protracted holdout.
Culpepper will work out for the Raiders today and a decision will likely come some time later this week whether the team wants to offer him a contract.
* From the You Can't Make This Up Department comes this: Suspended cornerback Pacman Jones is set to sign a contract with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling to become a full-time wrestler.
* The Falcons have signed former Vikings wide receiver Ben Nelson.
* Alex Reyes, a rookie punter who also kicks off, is going to challenge Chris Kluwe for his punting job in camp and his ability as a kickoff specialist could turn the tide in Reyes' favor.
