The Vikings announced their deactive players for today, and there are a few surprises among them Sunday.
Running back Mewelde Moore is inactive, leaving the team with only two pure running backs – Chester Taylor and Adrian Peterson – and leaves a question with the return game.
Kelly Holcomb is listed as the third (emergency) quarterback, and wide receiver Robert Ferguson, who has struggled with injuries the past two weeks, is also inactive.
The other inactives for the Vikings: S Mike Doss, TE Garrett Mills, T Chase Johnson, DEs Jayme Mitchell and Erasmus James.
The Falcons deactivated QB Casey Bramlet, S Chris Crocker, OL D'Anthony Batiste, DT Rod Coleman, T Quinn Ojinnaka, G Tyson Clabo, TE Martrez Milner and DE Josh Mallard.
Jonathan Babineaux will start in place of Coleman and Jimmy Williams in place of Crocker.
