SERIES
10th meeting. Kansas City leads series, 5-4. The Vikings will be making their first trip to Arrowhead Stadium since 1999 and only their fourth visit to Kansas City in franchise history.

KEYS TO THE GAME

If Vikings QB Tarvaris Jackson is healthy enough, he'll start. If not, it could be Brooks Bollinger or Kelly Holcomb. Whoever is behind center will do plenty of handing off to rookie RB Adrian Peterson and Chester Taylor, who the Vikings hope can return from injury. So far, the offense has accounted for fewer points (20) than the defense (21).

Kansas City's offensive approach is very similar — the Chiefs can't hurt teams with the deep passing game. RB Larry Johnson had 10 carries in the opener, 16 last week and can expect to increase that number significantly again. But if Damon Huard can be accurate, the medium passing game should be there.

FAST FACTS

Vikings S Darren Sharper has an NFL-high 46 interceptions since 2000. ... The Chiefs are 11-1 when Johnson gets at least 30 carries.
