The Vikings have deactivated quarterback Tarvaris Jackson, as expected, for Sunday's game between the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings. Kelly Holcomb will start in Jackson's absence with Brooks Bollinger as the backup. Jackson could still play if Holcomb and Bollinger are each hurt.
With Allison inactive, running back Adrian Peterson is listed as the top kick returner.
Other inactives for the Vikings are RB Mewelde Moore, CB Ronyell Whitaker, TE Garrett Mills, T Chase Johnson, WR Aundrae Allison, DT Fred Evans and DE Erasmus James. That means Chester Taylor is active and is listed as the starter at running back. Also active for the first time in two games is fullback Tony Richardson.
Inactive for the Packers are RB Brandon Jackson, CB Frank Walker, LB Desmond Biship, T Orrin Thompson, G Allen Barbre, DT Justin Harrell, DT Daniel Muir and DE Michael Montgomery.
DeShawn Wynn will start in place of rookie Brandon Jackson in the Packers' backfield.
Taylor Listed as Starter
