Minneapolis is No. 1, Seattle is No. 2 and St. Paul is No. 3 according to a recent study identifying the nation's most literate cities. No wonder Viking fans are so distinguished.

Are Viking fans really the most literate?

According to a seattlepi.com story, Minneapolis has taken hold of first place among the nation’s most literate cities, nudging ahead of Seattle once again, with St. Paul coming in No. 3 on the list.

No wonder Seattle fans have such animosity towards Minnesota.  Perhaps it goes deeper than just the Steve Hutchinson signing, followed by the Nate Burleson retaliation by the Seahawks.

Nothing like a little healthy competition.

Extra Points

According to ProFootballTalk.com, former Vikings quarterback Warren Moon has been arrested – again – for suspicion of DUI.  Moon was spotted early Friday in Medina, Washington driving a car with expired tabs.  He was also charged with driving on a suspended license.  (He has a valid Texas license, but his privileges in Washington had been revoked).

Cornerback Jerron Wishom, who went to training camp with the Vikings this past summer, recently had a workout with the Dallas Cowboys in hopes of signing a futures contract with them for next season.
