The Vikings will announce that have re-signed wide receiver Robert Ferguson to a one-year deal.
The deal is said to be one year for $1 million, but includes incentives that could drive the contract up to a total near $1.6 million.
Ferguson was signed by the Vikings last year after being cut by the Packers in the preseason. He finished the year starting eight of the 15 games he played and finished second on the team with 32 catches for 391 yards and a touchdown. At the end of the season, Ferguson told VU that he was extremely interested in coming back and would instruct his agent to "get a deal done."
With his signing, the Vikings now have five wide receivers under contract that they expect to go into the 2008 season with – Ferguson, Bernard Berrian, Sidney Rice, Bobby Wade and Aundrae Allison.
