It appears ex-Viking DE Erasmus James slipped in a dig on his former franchise about being asked to carry more weight than he was comfortable with. Also, are the Bears seriously better WITHOUT Bernard Berrian?

Audibles:

Erasmus James says his lack of success in Minnesota was because of injuries and that he wasn't allowed to play at the weight he wanted to play at.  James (who was always listed at 266 pounds on the Vikings roster) said he hopes to get back to his college weight - 255-260 pounds - after playing at 275 pounds for the Vikings.  Interestingly, James weighed 266 pounds at the Indianapolis Scouting Combine in 2005, BEFORE he was even drafted by the Vikings.

Apparently Chicago Bears wide receivers coach Darryl Drake thinks Rashied Davis is better than Bernard Berrian was.

Safety Madieu Williams signed with the Vikings because he things they're on the brink of being a playoff-caliber team.  He wanted to be a part of something that was up and coming and be around some guys who are serious about their craft.

In this Fantasy Football Impact Report on Tarvaris Jackson, something obviously hasn't gone right this season if John David Booty is in at quarterback for the Vikings.

Here's a look at salary cap figures for all 32 teams as of May 30, 2008.

Former Vikings RB Roger Craig , who spent two seasons (1992-93) in Minnesota, will be the featured banquet speaker at the inaugural St. Luke's Sports Medicine football camp Saturday, June 21, at South Sioux City High School, according to the Sioux City (Iowa) Journal.
