Peterson active, Rice inactive

The Vikings have running back Adrian Peterson active for Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers, a concern after he suffered a hamstring injury last weekend. The Vikings have a few other interesting inactives today as well.

Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is active for Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers and was on the field going through a regimen with the training staff 1 ½ hours before the game. The Vikings still have Peterson listed as the starter in the press box.

WR Sidney Rice (knee) is not active. He was also on the field before the game working on routes with receivers coach George Stewart and did some running during the week, but will not be available for Sunday's game.

The Vikings also made fullback Thomas Tapeh inactive. Naufahu Tahi is listed as the starter in Tapeh's place and Bobby Wade is listed as the starter for Rice. Also inactive for the Vikings is QB John David Booty (third QB), S Madieu Williams, CB Marcus McCauley, T Drew Radovich, FB Jeff Dugan and DT Letroy Guion.

Inactive for the Panthers are QB Matt Moore, WR Ryne Robinson, CB C.J. Wilson, LB James Anderson, G Mackenzy Bernadeau, DE Hilee Taylor, G Travelle Wharton and WR Dwayne Jarrett. Geoff Hangartner is starting in place of Wharton, the only change for the Panthers.
