Jared Allen's safety was his second of the season, which ties the NFL record with 14 other players. The last player to accomplish that was San Francisco's Bryant Young in 1996.
Allen's second safety also tied a team record. Alan Page also had two safeties in 1971.
The Vikings' two safeties Sunday also gave them three for the season, tying a team record. They also had three safeties in 1981 and 1965.
The last time there were two safeties in an NFL game was in 2003.
Adrian Peterson's 100-yard game gives his a career total of 12 100-yard efforts, which ties him with Eddie George for sixth place in NFL history for the most 100-yard games in the first two seasons in the league. Eric Dickerson holds the record with 21 100-yard games in his first two NFL seasons (1983-84).
Peterson's 100-yard game gives him a season total of six this year, which ties him for second in team annals. Robert Smith holds the record with eight 100-yard games in 2000, and Smith also had six in 1997. Peterson also had six last year.
Peterson becomes the first Viking to reach 1,000 yards twice after only nine games played in a season. Peterson set the team record last year when he reached the 1,000-yard mark after eight games.
Peterson became the first Viking to gain 1,000 yards in his first two seasons and moves into a third-place tie for most in a career. Smith holds the team record with four 1,000-yard seasons.
Peterson's 192 yards rushing against the Packers is the most in the series' 48-year history.
His 30 rushing attempts ties him for the team lead in the series history. Scottie Graham also had 30 attempts against the Packers in 1993.
His 30 rushing attempts give him a career total of 444, surpassing Michael Bennett's 427 and moving him into second place for must rushing attempts in the first two seasons on the team. Chester Taylor (2006-2007) holds the two-season mark with 460 attempts.
Ryan Longwell's 54-yard field goal gives him a season total of three from 50 yards or beyond, tying the team mark held by Paul Edinger (2005), Fuad Reveiz (1992) and Jan Stenerud (1984).
Longwell's 54-yarder is tied for third-longest in team history. Edinger holds the mark with a 56-yarder against Green Bay in 2005, and Longwell's 55-yarder against Chicago last year is the second-longest.
Chris Kluwe's two punts of 50 yards or more move him into second place for the most of 50 yards or more in a season. He already holds the record with 25 punts of 50 yards or more last year.
