Interesting inactives for Vikings

The Vikings made a few interesting decisions with their inactive list on Sunday.

Tarvaris Jackson is the Vikings' backup quarterback today in Cleveland, with Sage Rosenfels being the team's third (emergency) QB. Rosenfels leads the team's inactives today.

Also inactive for the Vikings are WRs Jaymar Johnson and Greg Lewis, CB Asher Allen, safety Jamarca Sanford, LB Erin Henderson, C Kory Lichtensteiger and DT Fred Evans.

Johnson was listed as the Vikings' top punt return, so it's possible Percy Harvin or Bernard Berrian gets a chance to return punts. Darius Reynaud is also a possibility. Also of interest is Lichtensteiger, who is the team's primary backup center. Ryan Cook would likely swing to center if John Sullivan were injured. Also, Fred Evans being inactive instead of Jimmy Kennedy or Letroy Guion is an interesting move.

For the Browns, QB Brett Ratliff (third QB), Marquis Floyd, DeAngelo Smith, Jerome Harrison, Cedric Peerman, Rex Hadnot, Martin Rucker and Leon Williams are inactive.

Brady Quinn will start for the Browns at quarterback, as expected. Alex Mack will also start at center for the Browns, as expected. RB James Davis, who was involved in a one-car accident Saturday morning, is the only active running back behind Jamal Lewis for Cleveland.
