Vikings Allocate Six to NFL Europe

The Vikings announced Monday that six players have been allocated to NFL Europe for the coming spring season.

In recent years, NFL Europe has become a solid training ground for future NFL standouts. Super Bowl champion QB Brad Johnson made the trip, as did current Vikings Todd Bouman and Lewis Kelly.

The Vikings announced Monday that six players have been allocated to NFL Europe. They are WR Kenny Clark, K Todd France, QB Shaun Hill, P Nick Murphy, G Kenny Sandlin and OT Lorenzo White.

Clark is said to be allocated to the Amsterdam Admirals. A listing of all team assignments will come later this week.

* More questions than answers are coming out of an alleged sexual assault that is being blamed in the direction of the Vikings. Early Sunday morning a 30-year-old woman claims she was sexually assaulted after spending an evening at a nightspot on Mille Lacs Lake where the eighth annual Arctic Blast was being held. A Mille Lacs County police spokesman said the investigation is surrounding "several members of the Minnesota Vikings organization" but declined to specify any specific individuals. At this time, all anyone is getting from the team, local establishments on Mille Lacs Lake, the local casino and Arctic Blast organizers are "no comments." * The Vikings re-signed OL Jon Carman.
* The agent for DE Vonnie Holliday said this weekend that, if contract talks with the Packers break down before the start of free agency, Holliday would be interested in joining the Vikings.
