Darius Reynaud is expected to resume his role as the Vikings' starting punt returner today against the Detroit Lions after injuring his hamstring in Week 3. Reynaud has been inactive since that injury and Jaymar Johnson took over returning punts.
Johnson has averaged 8.4 yards on his 16 returns while Reynaud was averaging 17.3 yards on his seven returns before the injury. Johnson is among the inactives today.
Also inactive for the Vikings are QB Sage Rosenfels (third QB), CB Antoine Winfield, RB Albert Young, LB Erin Henderson, C Jon Cooper, DE Jayme Mitchell and DT Letroy Guion.
CB Benny Sapp is listed as the starter in place of Winfield, but expect a rotation of Karl Paymah and Asher Allen during nickel situations as well.
For the Lions, QB Drew Stanton (third QB), RB Aaron Brown, CB Anthony Henry, LB Ernie Sims, G Daniel Loper, T Ephraim Salaam, DE Cliff Avril and DT Landon Cohen are inactive.
Reynaud should resume punt returns
