Vikings quarterback Brett Favre and running back Adrian Peterson are both nominated for weekly offensive awards voted on by the fans at NFL.com
Favre is nominated for the FedEx Air Player of the Week after completing 20 of 29 passes for 344 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions against the Detroit Lions. Favre also won the award in Weeks 4 and 8, both of those performances against the Green Bay Packers.
Peterson is nominated for the FedEx Ground Player of the Week after rushing 18 times for 133 and two touchdowns in the Vikings' 27-10 win. Peterson won the award in Week 1 after a 180-yard, three-touchdown effort against the Cleveland Browns.
Joining Favre among the nominees is Colts QB Peyton Manning, who threw four touchdowns, two interceptions and completed 28 of 44 passes for 327 yards in a last-minute win over the Patriots. Cardinals QB Kurt Warner, who threw for 340 yards and two touchdowns against the Seahawks, is also nominated.
Peterson's competition is Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew and Titans RB Chris Johnson. Jones-Drew rushed 24 times for 123 yards and a touchdown in the Jaguars' 24-22 win over the Jets. Johnson rushed 26 times for 132 yards and two touchdowns in the Titans' 41-17 win over the Bills.
Fans can vote at NFL.com/fedex until 11 a.m. Central Friday.
