Vikings CB Antoine Winfield is inactive for the sixth straight game after suffering a foot injury against Baltimore on Oct. 18. Despite reports of a fractured foot, Winfield has denied that, but he had a setback on Nov. 27 after saying he expected to play last Sunday against the Chicago Bears.
Winfield isn't the only starter sidelined because of injury. Guard Anthony Herrera, who suffered a concussion against the Seahawks on Oct. 22, is also inactive for Sunday night's game against the Arizona Cardinals.
Herrera and Winfield were both listed as questionable on Friday's injury report. So were running back Chester Taylor and tight end Visanthe Shiancoe, who are active.
All of the Vikings' players listed as probable on Friday – Steve Hutchinson, Benny Sapp, Bernard Berrian, Eric Frampton, Bryant McKinnie, Adrian Peterson, Naufahu Tahi – are active.
The Vikings' complete inactive list includes QB Sage Rosenfels (third QB), WR Jaymar Johnson, Winfield, RB Albert Young, LB Erin Henderson, Herrera, DT Fred Evans and DE Jayme Mitchell.
For the Cardinals, starting left tackle Mike Gandy (pelvis) is out and guard Jeremy Bridges will take his place. Also inactive for the Cardinals are QB Brian St. Pierre, CB Greg Toler, LB Reggie Walker, LB Will Davis, OL Herman Johnson (who is officially listed as Gandy's backup), TE Stephen Spach and WR Jerheme Urban.
