The Vikings tied and broke a few NFL and team postseason records. Brett Favre set a couple of career NFL records and Adrian Peterson entered his name in the top three for a couple of single-game playoff records.

  • Brett Favre set an NFL career record for most completions in postseason history with 481, surpassing Joe Montana (460).

  • Favre set an NFL record for most passing yards in postseason history with 5,855, surpassing Montana at 5,772.

  • Favre's 28 completions rank fourth in team history for a postseason game, with three players (Warren Moon on Jan. 1, 1995; Randall Cunningham on Jan. 17, 1999; and Jeff George on Jan. 16, 2000) tied at 29.

  • Favre's 310 yards passing ranks third in team history. The franchise record is 423 by Jeff George on Jan. 16, 2000 against St. Louis.

  • Adrian Peterson set a team record for most rushing touchdowns in a game and ties a team record for most total touchdowns in a playoff game. He had three touchdowns, all rushing. The total touchdowns tied Sidney Rice (Jan. 17, 2010) and Leroy Hoard (Jan. 10, 1999).

  • Peterson's 122 yards rushing ranks third in team history. Robert Smith holds the top marks at 140 yards (vs. Dallas on Jan. 9, 2000) and 124 yards (vs. Arizona on Jan. 10, 1999).
