Mike Tice had made no bones how much he wanted TE Jim Kleinsasser to stay, but let no doubt this afternoon -- assigning the franchise tag to Kleinasser.
While both sides are meeting in Indianapolis to talk long-term contract, the franchise designation all but assures nobody else will get Kleinasser -- a franchise free agent costs two first-round draft picks.
