Favre talks to Perrilloux

Brett Favre was documented talking to a rookie that hopes to become a Vikings quarterback.

Favre hasn't declared publicly whether he is returning to the Vikings for another season, but he is helping Ryan Perrilloux, who will be among the rookies trying to earn a contract with the Vikings this weekend.

The Vikings hold a three-day rookie minicamp starting Friday. The team's eight draft picks, 10 rookie free agents, and a host of others trying to earn a limited few contracts will be among the players practicing at Winter Park this weekend.

Favre and Perrilloux are both represented by agent Bus Cook, who likely set up the meeting between the two to talk football.

"It's definitely a great opportunity to just play football again and do something I love to do. Be around a great bunch of guys," Perrilloux told WWLTV in Louisiana. "Being out here with Brett, just a great opportunity to learn (and) suck up as much knowledge as I possibly can."

Perrilloux was's Player of the Year coming out of high school and signed his letter of intent to play for LSU. After running into trouble at LSU, he transferred to Jacksonville State for the 2009 season and went undrafted.

He wasn't among the 10 rookie free agents the Vikings signed following the draft, but he will have a chance to impress the coaching staff this weekend.
