Jori Lehtera sidelined after ankle surgery
Lehtera, 27, suffered the injury at the end of his debut season with the Blues, the club announced. The Blues’ third-round pick in 2008, Lehtera racked up 44 points (14 goals, 30 assists) and a plus-21 rating in 75 regular season games last season and had two assists in five playoff contests. St. Louis signed Lehtera to a three-year contract extension last month that begins with the 2016-17 season, which means he will be playing with the Blues for the next four seasons. He carved out a significant role as a top six center in his debut campaign and is expected to center one of the Blues’ top lines again this season.
